Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Hookami handles personal data for the current landing, application flows, and creator product experience.
Who we are
Hookami is operated by SEIA PRODUCTION S.R.L. This policy explains what personal data we process, why we process it, and how we handle it for the current landing, application flows, and product experience.
Our core business is built around public platform intelligence and creator tooling. We do not rely on private channel data unless you explicitly authorize a connection that requires it.
What data we collect
- Account and contact data such as name and email when you create an account, request access, or contact us.
- Application data you submit through Founding Access or Creator Partner Access, including channel, brand, profile, use-case, and fit information.
- Technical data such as browser, device, approximate location, IP-based security logs, and site performance diagnostics.
- Temporary user-uploaded content when you ask Hookami to analyze your media or inputs.
- Public platform metadata and performance signals gathered from public sources or official APIs.
Why we process your data
- To provide access to the Hookami platform and related creator tools.
- To review Founding Creator, Creator Partner, and Affiliate Program applications manually.
- To process subscriptions, token balances, rewards, and support requests.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and improve performance.
- To comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
Where consent is required, such as for optional cookies or authorized third-party account connections, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Legal Bases for Processing
Depending on how you use Hookami, we process personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract, where processing is necessary to provide your account, subscription, workspace, or requested features.
- Consent, where you choose to provide optional information, accept optional cookies, or authorize certain integrations.
- Legitimate interests, including service security, fraud prevention, abuse detection, product improvement, and support operations.
- Legal obligations, including accounting, tax, compliance, and responding to lawful requests.
If we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
Data We Process in Hookami AI
Depending on your use of the service, we may process:
- Account data, such as name, email address, profile photo, and account settings.
- Creator profile data, such as niche, goals, context, preferences, and the name you want Sensei to use.
- Conversation data, such as prompts, messages, generated outputs, saved briefs, and related workspace content.
- Uploaded content and attachments that you choose to submit for analysis.
- Support and communication data when you contact us.
- Technical and security data, such as IP address, device information, browser details, authentication events, and service logs.
Third parties, processors, and AI providers
We do not sell personal data. We use carefully selected service providers for hosting, payments, analytics, communications, and AI processing where necessary to operate Hookami.
Hookami may use third-party AI providers, including OpenAI, Moonshot AI (provider of Kimi models), and Google Vertex AI where enabled, to process prompts, messages, and generated outputs for the purpose of operating AI features.
When data is transferred outside the EU or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other valid legal transfer mechanisms.
Sensei Personalization and Creator Lens
Hookami may use information you save in your Creator Profile and, for eligible plans, Creator Lens, to personalize Sensei responses in your chats. This may include your niche, preferred language, tone, platforms, formats, goals, current focus, references, and other creator preferences you choose to provide.
This personalization is designed to make Sensei more useful to you inside your Hookami account. It is not the same as training a general-purpose AI model.
You can turn Sensei personalization off at any time in your settings. When personalization is off, Hookami will not include your Creator Profile or Creator Lens as context in new Sensei chat requests. Turning personalization off does not delete your saved profile, Creator Lens, chat history, or account data. You can edit, export, or delete supported data separately where those controls are available.
Hookami does not use your Creator Profile, Creator Lens, prompts, Sensei conversations, or generated outputs to train Hookami-owned general-purpose AI models. We use third-party AI providers to operate AI features and generate responses. Where supported by provider terms and settings, we configure those providers to avoid using customer content for model training.
AI training and your data
Hookami does not use your prompts, messages, Sensei conversations, or generated outputs to train Hookami-owned general-purpose AI models.
We may use third-party AI providers, including OpenAI, Moonshot AI, and Google Vertex AI, to process AI requests and operate product features. These providers process data under their applicable terms and settings. Where available, we configure providers to minimize retention and prevent customer data from being used for model training.
Retention of AI chat data
Conversations you have with Hookami AI, including Sensei chat on hookami.ai, may be stored in our systems for as long as needed to provide the service, make your chat history available to you, maintain account continuity, and support security, troubleshooting, and legal compliance.
We may also use third-party AI providers, including OpenAI, Moonshot AI, and Google Vertex AI where enabled, which may temporarily process and retain limited request and response data in accordance with their enterprise or API terms, security practices, and the specific features we enable. Where available, we configure these services to minimize retention consistent with providing the service.
You can delete any Hookami AI conversation directly from your chat history at any time; deletion is immediate and removes both the conversation and its messages from our systems. To delete your entire account, sign in and go to Settings → General → Danger Zone; the action is self-service, cancels any active subscription in Stripe, and removes your data immediately. For other data requests, contact legal@hookami.com.
User uploads and AI analysis
If you upload content for analysis, we process it only to deliver the requested result. Video and audio files submitted for transient analysis are not retained beyond the time needed to complete the analysis. Where a feature stores user uploads for historical access — such as Frame Studio — the applicable retention is described in the feature-specific section below.
While we optimize AI-powered features for usefulness and accuracy, generated outputs may occasionally contain errors, omissions, or misleading conclusions. You should review important outputs before relying on them.
Frame Studio image analysis
Where you use Frame Studio (thumbnail audit), Hookami processes images you upload from your device, paste from clipboard, or fetch by URL. The images are stored in a dedicated Google Cloud Storage bucket scoped to your account so you can review past analyses from the History panel.
Uploaded thumbnails are retained until you delete them. When you delete a frame, we soft-delete the record immediately and remove the underlying image binary within 30 days through a scheduled cleanup job. You can delete frames at any time from the Frame Studio History panel.
Frame Studio analyses (scores, metric reasons, full report, and reference prompts) are stored alongside the image and follow the same retention. Deleting the frame deletes the analysis.
Image content is sent to enterprise third-party AI vision providers (Moonshot AI / Kimi as primary; Google Vertex AI / Gemini as fallback) for the duration of the analysis call. Where supported, we configure these providers to minimize retention and prevent your content from being used for model training.
We process Frame Studio data on the basis of performance of a contract (to deliver the requested analysis) and your consent (the explicit rights confirmation you provide before each upload). You can withdraw consent and remove your data at any time by deleting frames from the History panel.
Public Video Analysis
Where you use ViralBlueprint or similar features, Hookami may process publicly available video links, titles, captions, transcripts, metadata, public thumbnails from the analyzed sources, engagement signals, and user-provided notes in order to generate structural analysis, summaries, private presets, and creative guidance.
We process this data to provide the requested feature, improve workflow relevance, and maintain service integrity.
We do not use user-submitted source materials or generated private presets for generalized model training unless explicitly disclosed otherwise.
YouTube API Services
Some Hookami features, including Outlier and Trend Vision, rely on YouTube API Services to access publicly available data such as video metadata, titles, thumbnails, public engagement metrics, and channel-level public information.
By using features that rely on YouTube API Services, you acknowledge that such use is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Public data accessed through YouTube API Services is refreshed or deleted within 30 days, in accordance with YouTube API Services Developer Policies. Cached signals may be re-fetched to keep insights current.
If a future Hookami feature requires you to connect or authorize access to your own Google or YouTube account, we will request only the permissions needed for that feature. You may revoke Google account access at any time from your Google security settings at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
Hookami does not claim affiliation with or endorsement by YouTube or Google. Platform names and public metrics are used for informational analysis only.
Data retention
Account data is retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Where deletion is requested and legally possible, we remove or anonymize personal data from active systems and then age out related backups in the normal cycle.
Automated Decision-Making
Hookami may use automated systems to organize, rank, summarize, or generate outputs. However, we do not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on users unless explicitly disclosed otherwise.
Your rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
- Request deletion where we are not required to keep the data.
- Request portability of certain data you provided to us.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests in appropriate cases.
- Withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
You may also file a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority if you believe your rights are not being respected.
Hookami mobile app (iOS and Android)
The Hookami mobile app is a companion client for your Hookami account. When you use the mobile app, we may process the same account, subscription, profile, chat, history, usage, and product interaction data described elsewhere in this policy, accessed through our existing backend services to authenticate you, provide Sensei chat, show history, personalize responses, and display product modules.
Device and app data. We may process device and app information such as app version, platform, operating system version, crash diagnostics, basic performance logs, and security-related usage events to keep the mobile app reliable and secure.
Device permissions. The mobile app may request device permissions such as notifications, photo library access for uploads, or camera access for content capture. Each permission is requested in context and can be revoked at any time from your device settings.
Push notifications. With your consent, we may send push notifications about product updates, Sensei replies, content alerts, or account activity. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or in the Hookami app preferences.
Mobile service providers. The mobile app may include service providers for crash analytics, push notifications, performance monitoring, and authentication. These providers process limited technical data on our behalf under data processing agreements. A current list of mobile sub-processors is available on request at legal@hookami.com.
Account deletion from the mobile app. You can initiate account deletion from Profile → Manage account → Delete account inside the mobile app. Deleting your account removes your account record and associated personal data from our systems, except where we are legally required to retain certain information for security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, or compliance purposes.
We do not sell mobile app user data.
