Chronicle’s Ubiquity pitches audience research before you commit to a series
Chronicle Media wants creators to assess potential audiences before committing to a project. Tubefilter reports that its predictive modeling product, Ubiquity, is aimed at creators, media studios and brands looking to estimate audience size, geography and niche interests. Chronicle says it beta-tested the tool with more than 50 marquee clients over the last six months; interested users can contact the company to try it.
For a video creator considering a new series, the useful question is whether there’s an audience beyond the viewers already watching your channel. Ubiquity’s pitch is to help quantify that demand and identify groups worth reaching before production begins.
Co-founder Aaron Sisto tells Tubefilter that the underlying research uses real audience behavior, rather than asking a chatbot to impersonate prospective viewers. He says Chronicle collects cohort-based data through proprietary, large-scale A/B testing, drawing on more than a million audience segments and their watch-through behaviors across major platforms including YouTube. Those inputs feed simulations of potential audiences. According to Sisto, the approach doesn’t require knowing individual identities, IP addresses or handles.
The strongest-sounding claim needs the closest reading: Chronicle says its predictions have been 94–98% accurate “when tuned to a specific franchise.” Tubefilter’s report doesn’t explain how accuracy is measured or establish that the same performance applies to a creator’s untested concept. The company also cites client growth results, but those examples don’t establish what another channel should expect.
If you’re considering Ubiquity for a production decision, ask what it would predict for your project, how that prediction would be evaluated, and what franchise-specific tuning requires. The report provides no pricing or self-service access details, so it doesn’t yet show whether the service is practical for a smaller creator’s budget.
